Tips for Moderating a CLU Challenge Exam Study Group

The premise behind the CLU Challenge Exam project is that qualified candidates should already possess the skills, knowledge and competencies needed to pass the exam. There is nothing that you can “study” that will instantaneously provide you with this knowledge. Having said that, a study group enables the candidates to review a selection of more complex topics, which will assist them in assessing their own skills and competencies, as they prepare for the exam.

As moderator, you should guide candidates through the CLU syllabus, providing examples of how the various topics and concepts apply.

  • Prepare sample questions to test their understanding of the concepts.
  • Prepare sample case studies to test their analytical ability.
